Festivities on Halloween Day

Our Halloween Day was full of fun. I took the day off so I could volunteer at Teegan's school. After some fun Halloween activities the Kindergarten class participated in a Halloween parade. Teegan dressed up as Obe One Kanobe.

After school we came home to decorate pumpkins. Ryton and Jaida colored their pumpkins and then decorated them with potatoe head parts and Teegan decorated with paints that glow in the dark.

After decorating our pumpkins we joined the neighbors over at the Lowry's for a Halloweenie Weenie Roast. The kids had a blast playing with their friends and jumping and/or sliding into a large pile of leaves. We ate hot dogs and had a yummy hot chocolate bar with many options. Grandma Cynthia and Mike met up with us at the Weenie Roast.

As soon as the sun went down it was time for us to leave and get on our way for some Trick-or-Treating with Grandma Cynthia and Mike. Obe One Kanobe was very excited and was running house to house while Thing 1 and Thing 2 were trying to keep up with him and also trying to figure out what it was we were doing. It took a few houses for the twins to get the objective of this Trick-or Treat night. Before long, Thing 1 was out running Obe One Kanobe. Thing 1 and Thing 2 were pretty cute when yelling Trick-or-Treat at each of the houses. All three of the kids were very polite with saying "Thank You" as they were grabbing handfuls of candy from each of the neighbors. Mom had to eventually supervise the amount of candy they were taking. After about 45 minutes of Trick-or-Treating the Halloween bags were to full for the kids to carry and Thing 1 and Thing 2 were wanting to be carried as well. Mom and Grandma Cynthia took Thing 1 and Thing 2 back to the house to hand out candy to the other Trick-or Treaters, while Dad, Mike and Obe One Kanobe did some more Trick-or Treating. The kids had a lot of fun and DID get to eat some candy that night.
